What to expect

  1. Consultation

    We look at the thickness, texture and color of the skin under your eyes and talk through what you would like to improve. Suitability and how many sessions you need are decided here.

  2. Blood draw

    A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, much like a routine blood test.

  3. Preparing the PRF

    The sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich fibrin, which is then drawn up for treatment.

  4. Treatment under the eyes

    The PRF is placed beneath the under-eye skin a little at a time. Numbing may be used for comfort.

Results

Questions about the PRF Under-Eye Treatment

  • How is PRF different from PRP?

    Both are prepared from your own blood. PRF is processed at a gentler spin, typically without an anticoagulant, so it keeps fibrin, a natural protein that forms a soft structure once it is placed. PRP is spun to concentrate plasma and platelets, and our PRP Injections are used across the wider face.

  • Is there downtime after PRF under the eyes?

    The under-eye area often looks puffy or bruised for several days after PRF, and tiny needle marks usually fade sooner. Recovery differs between people, which is why we go through it at the consultation. If you have photos coming up, allow a few quiet days first.

  • How many PRF sessions will I need?

    It comes down to the condition of the skin under your eyes and what you hope to change. PRF works gradually, so it is commonly planned as a short series with a few weeks between visits, and progress is reviewed along the way. Your plan, including the spacing, is agreed at the consultation.

  • Can PRF be combined with other treatments?

    PRF can be paired with Under-Eye Filler when a hollow also needs volume, since PRF focuses on skin quality. PRP Injections or Microneedling can treat the rest of the face. We sequence treatments so each area has time to settle before the next one.
