What to expect

  1. Volume assessment

    We look at where your face has lost structure, from the temples and cheeks to the jawline, and talk about how a gradual result fits your timeline.

  2. Preparation

    Sculptra is mixed with sterile water ahead of your appointment so it is ready to use. The treatment areas are cleansed and marked.

  3. Placement

    The product is placed beneath the skin in the areas agreed at your consultation, working through them one at a time.

  4. Massage and aftercare

    The treated areas are massaged before you leave. Your aftercare instructions commonly include massaging at home for several days.

  • How many Sculptra sessions will I need?

    The number varies. Because Sculptra works by building collagen, most plans use more than one session, spaced several weeks apart, so each round can take effect before the next. How many you need depends on how much volume you have lost and the areas treated, and it is set at your consultation.

  • Is there downtime after Sculptra?

    Expect some tenderness, swelling or bruising where the product went in, usually for a few days. How much time you set aside varies, and we review it at your consultation. Many people carry on with their usual routine soon after, alongside the at-home massage described in their aftercare instructions.

  • Can Sculptra be combined with other treatments?

    Sculptra is often planned alongside other injectables. It pairs with Botox / Dysport for expression lines, and with Fillers & Facial Balancing when a feature needs shape right away. For the skin's surface, Microneedling or RF Microneedling can be scheduled around your Sculptra sessions.

  • Who is a good candidate for Sculptra?

    Sculptra suits adults with gradual volume loss in the face, such as hollow temples, flatter cheeks or a softer jawline, who are comfortable waiting for results to build.
