The days after filler

Some swelling is a normal part of filler and eases over the following days. It is often more noticeable in the lips, which can bruise as well, than in the cheeks, chin or jawline. While it lasts, the treated area may look fuller than it will once settled, so hold off judging the shape. Before you go home, we explain what to expect from swelling in your treated area over the first few days. Stick to those instructions. If something does not look or feel right as it settles, call the spa and describe it, and we will tell you what to do.

Your first visit, and the choices you make

Filler always starts with a complimentary consultation. We study your features together, front on and in profile, at rest and as you speak, and you say what you want to change. You hear frankly how much filler can do toward that goal, and where it falls short. Then you decide: whether to go ahead, which areas to treat, in what order, and how much product to use. A bigger change can be staged across separate visits if you prefer. Nothing is placed until you agree to the plan. A skin assessment is included.
